Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive digital strategy aligned with TEDI-London’s mission, vision and values, ensuring it supports innovation and collaboration in teaching, learning, and administration.
- Collaborate with the Associate Dean for Academic Engagement to ensure our students have unparalleled access to cutting-edge technologies, facilitating experiential learning at the forefront of industry practice.
- Lead cross-functional teams to identify emerging technologies and trends that have the potential to transform higher education, evaluating their applicability and impact within TEDI-London.
- Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation, encouraging staff, and students to explore new digital tools, pedagogies, and methodologies by leading the way with decisive leadership and showcasing of possibilities
- Collaborate with all functions of TEDI-London to integrate digital technologies seamlessly into curriculum design, delivery, and assessment processes.
- Oversee the continued development and maintenance of digital infrastructure, platforms, and systems to support teaching, learning, and administrative functions.
- Provide guidance and support to staff in leveraging digital resources effectively, including training programmes and professional development opportunities.
- Establish partnerships with industry leaders, technology vendors, and other educational institutions to leverage best practices and stay abreast of industry developments.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of digital initiatives, collecting feedback and data to inform continuous improvement efforts.
- Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and cybersecurity best practices in all digital initiatives and operations.
- Represent TEDI-London at conferences, seminars, and industry forums to showcase our digital innovations and thought leadership in higher education.
Qualifications:
Essential
- Master's or doctoral degree in a relevant field or significant relevant experience.
- Possess excellent communication skills to effectively manage teams, share common goals, uphold strong business ethics, embrace change, and foster a growth mindset as part of our Senior Leadership team
- Experience in a digital leadership position, with a proven track record of crafting and executing digital innovation strategies in dynamic environments.
- Hands-on experience establishing, leading, and scaling digital innovation labs or centres of excellence, showcasing tangible outcomes from ideation to implementation
- Demonstrated history of building and nurturing relationships with tech vendors, startups, and industry partners to accelerate innovation efforts.
- Expertise in overseeing a diverse portfolio of digital projects, ensuring they align with strategic objectives and achieve desired outcomes.
- Comprehensive knowledge of emerging digital trends, tools, and technologies
- Proficiency in agile, lean, and other innovation methodologies that support a rapid experimentation mindset.
- Exceptional skills in engaging and influencing a diverse range of stakeholders, from senior leadership to technical teams
- Ability to envision long-term digital goals and devise plans to meet those goals amidst changing technological and organizational landscapes
- Strong data-driven decision-making capabilities, with skills in assessing the feasibility, impact, and ROI of potential digital initiatives
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex digital concepts to non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated ability to inspire, mentor, and guide teams towards achieving innovative outcomes while fostering a culture of continuous learning and adaptability.
Desirable
- Professional qualification in innovation management, project management, technology management, or similar discipline.
- Experience within the higher education sector, understanding the unique challenges and opportunities it presents, would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of risk management principles as they relate to digital innovation, with a balanced approach to risk-taking.
